Demucs.net is an independent, unofficial web interface. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. or the authors of Demucs. The domain uses the project's name because that is what the tool is; it does not imply any relationship with the project. The official source code is at github.com/facebookresearch/demucs.
Licensing
Demucs is released under the MIT license. Its pretrained weights were trained on datasets that carry their own terms, which differ from the code's license. Our Licensing page sets out what that means for this site and for what you do with your stems.
Results
Separation is a model's best estimate, not an exact recovery of the original recordings. Some bleed between stems is normal, and dense or unusual mixes can separate poorly. Processing times quoted on this site are measurements, not promises. Nothing here guarantees a result or fitness for a particular purpose.
Your responsibility
You decide what to upload and what to do with the stems, and you are responsible for having the rights to do it. Nothing on this site is legal advice; if you are unsure whether you may use a recording, ask the rights holder or a lawyer.
